With the approval of State Council of China and China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Securities Depository and Clearing Company (CSDCC) was formally established on March 30th, 2001. Its registered capital is of 600 million yuan, and the total capital, of 1.2 billion yuan. Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange subscribed 50% of the registered capital respectively.
China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited is the only domestic securities depository and clearing agency, registered in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. The company is run under the leadership of the board of directors with the general manager responsibility system. The company, headquartered in Beijing, has two branches of Shanghai and Shenzhen.
CSDCC is responsible for the central depository, registration and clearing of the securities. It carries out the T+1 settlement for A shares and T+3 for B shares. |
