Zeng Peiyan ( 曾培炎 ), male, Han nationality, is the Vice-President of P. R. China, a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee, and a member of the Politburo Standing Committee.
Zeng Peiyan ( 曾培炎 ) was born in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province ( 浙江省绍兴市 ), China in Dec., 1938. He graduated from TsinghuaUniversity. Zeng Peiyan ( 曾培炎 ) joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1978.
Zeng Peiyan ( 曾培炎 ) worked for 20 years for the First Ministry of Machine-Building Industry. In 1982, he was dispatched to the United States to serve in the Commercial Counsel's Office of the Chinese Embassy. He returned to China in 1984 to serve in the Ministry of Electronics Industry. Over the next 18 years, he served in several leadership roles in key economic and planning organizations.
