Brief History

Established on the basis of a collection of enterprises and institutions formerly owned by State Power Corporation of China, State Grid Corporation of China (short for SG) is a large-sized enterprise approved by the State Department to operate the business of power transmission, transformation, distribution and other assets of power grid. As a pilot state-holding and authorized investing Corporation by the State Department, whose top management group is under the administration and management of the Chinese central government directly.

Top management

Mr. Liu Zhenya: President & CEO. Liu began to work in October 1971. Liu is a senior engineer graduated form Shandong University of Technology of China . Liu was appointed as deputy director general of Shandong Electric & Industry Bureau in November 1992, and became director general on December 1995, and then Chairman & general manager of Shandong Electric Power Corporation since July 1997. Liu was the representative of the Ninth National People's Congress, National Labor model and medalist of national “Labors' Day” award. In November 2004, he assumed the office of president of SG.
