Business overview

TCL Corporation runs its business from multimedia to mobile phone, from personal computers to home appliance, from Electric Lighting to digital products; it also expends the business largely to overseas markets. 

In July 2004 TTE Corporation ("TTE"), the biggest global TV manufacturer, jointly set up by TCL and Thomson, officially started operation in ShenZhen, China which its business covers all mail markets which is engaging in mobile phone development, production, sales and relevant services in the world. Also, in April 2004,TCL Mobile has signed "MOU" with Alcatel to form a joint venture

Top management

Li Dongsheng: Chairman and President. Mr. Li graduated from South China University of Technology. He was appointed General Manager of TCL Communication Equipment Company in 1985. In 1990, he was appointed vice-president of HuiZhou Electrommunication Corporation, and then at the beginning of 1993 he was appointed president of TCL Electron Corporation. At the end of 1996, Mr. Li was appointed chairman and president of TCL Corp..

u Shihong: vice President, General Manager of TCL Information Industry Corporation. Mrs. Wu once was a nurse, she got the college English certificate by self-taught. In 1985, Mrs. Wu passed the exam and entered into IBM, she started her job as an office girl, and after ten years hard-working, she became the General manager of IBM South China B.V.; in February 1998, she was appointed General Manager of Microsoft China Company. At the end of 1999, she posted as vice president of TCL Corp.
